NLDB 2018 @ Paris!

Written on June 22, 2018

It was indeed an exciting event for me, being a research rookie, presenting a paper at a CORE ranked conference, 23rd International Conference on Natural Language and Information Systems (NLDB 2018) and that too at Paris, France!

I presented my paper titled "A Supervised Learning Approach for ICU Mortality Prediction Based on Unstructured Electrocardiogram Text Reports", co-authored by my Research Supervisor Dr. Sowmya Kamath S.

Feeling really happy that I could present and discuss my work as well as the current trends with researchers across the globe (well, mainly Europe :P). Other presentations included NLP based works in various domains and interesting researches and developments in core NLP itself. Made a couple of good friends too!

Oh yes, Paris was indeed lovely (Eiffel Tower ✔) and returned home via Amsterdam (which was more beautiful!) :D
